One week til Cherry Pie Cure and I’m up to my elbows in fresh cherries (cherry season! yes!) and trying to find a cherry pie recipe that is as magic as the one Susan makes that… well… I can’t tell you that. Goddamn spoilers EVERYWHERE.
But I think it’s time to turn up the heat on the teasing, with the help of another Canadian author—please meet Anne Lange. She’s addicted to shoes, designer handbags and vintage wine. Actually, you know what? She has the best bio and it reads, to me, like the bio of a soul sister, so here it is in its entirety:
Shoes, designer handbags and vintage wines are her addiction, but books are her passion. Anne Lange grew up with a love for reading. She reads many genres of romance, but prefers to write sexy stories, sometimes with a dash of humor, and usually with a side of those sinful pleasures your mom never told you about. Always with a happily ever after.
While living the glorious life of a romance author, Anne also juggles a full time job and a family. Sadly, not always successfully. Who needs a clean house every day? And what’s wrong with cereal for dinner? She lives in Ontario, Canada with her wonderfully supportive husband, three awesome kids who sometimes drive her bonkers, but she loves them anyway, and the family pets, Rocky the bearded dragon and Lily the crazy chocolate lab.
I asked Lange if her oeuvre included something sinfully delicious, to fit in with the theme of cherry pie… She offered this:
An erotic romance author who needs to inject more realism into her sex scenes finds herself in the middle of a blind taste test in which she’s the dish for a double helping of dessert.
Oh-my. Anne. You are my soul sister. Blind Taste Test is a 12,000 word long short story (really, almost a novella, right)—just the right length to indulge in before serving up your family cereal for dinner.
You can get it EVERYWHERE for any device here.
And if it titillates you and you want more, find Anne Lange at:
Full disclosure: Cherry Pie Cure is not this hot. Have I not told you? Susan is a total prude. When the story begins, anyway. ;P And if you’ve read Tell Me and Consequences (Of Defensive Adultery), you will find Cherry Pie Cure… significantly… sweeter. Sexy as hell… but sweeter. Just so you know. And no M-F-M scenes. But isn’t it good that I found you Anne Lange’s story to satiate that particular desire?
PS Don’t tell me I had three months to find the perfect cherry pie recipe. I’m not saying there aren’t a thousand GOOD cherry pie recipes out there. I’m looking for the MAGIC cherry pie recipe. And I’m somewhat hindered in this process by my superb ineptitude with things pastry.
I might need to call in some experts.
