If you’re taking my More Than A Guilty Pleasure class: think of what types of costumes your five key characters would wear for Halloween. It doesn’t matter if you’re not going to be writing about Halloween. It’s a mind game to help you get to know your people. What sort of costume would Helga wear? Scary, funny, original, typical? Sexy? Flaunty? Would she be a walrus or a slutty pumpkin?
It matters.
Trust me.
Will and Florence’s costumes in Bittersweet Valentine? The plot turns on them. The question, of course, is… what came first, the costume idea or the plot twist? 😉
