So I was at this thing last week, and I was introduced to a new friend thus: “This is M. Jane Colette. She’s the reason your mother reads porn.”

Not bad as far as epithets go, and if that’s what my children will carve on my grave, I’ll be ok with that. But it’s important to have aspirations, right? I don’t just want to be the reason your mother reads porn. I want to be the reason your GRANDMOTHER WRITES PORN.

So. Without further ado, let me introduce you to a great-gran with sex on her mind, as today’s SULTRY & sweet SUMMER reads YYC author showcase spotlights TINA GRIFFITH:

TINA GRIFFITH, in her own words:  I was born in Germany, but raised in Ontario.  I moved to Calgary in 1975, and have never left.  I got married here, and my children and all my grandchildren were born and raised here.

I wrote 27 children’s books when my kids were growing up, and when I worked in television, I wrote 75 scripts for Bumper’s Treehouse, 1500 questions for Tunes & Trivia, and 100 scripts for PSA’s and commercials.  After my husband of 25 years passed away, I began to write romance novels.  At first it was healing and a way to keep love in my heart and life, and after taking a few classes, I find that each book I write is better than the last.

My 11th novel just came out on April 25, and it has the most sexual content I’ve ever put into any of my stories! Truth is, I kind of like that style of writing. This last novel, The Elusive Mr. Velucci, is about a gorgeous man from Italy, who comes to New York for 8 months to learn English.  His tutor is blonde and lovely, and while they spend a lot of time together, they never crossed the line between student and teacher – until his last night in America… and then… but, wait; to tell you more would be teasing your senses.
