Welcome to the SULTRY & sweet SUMMER reads YYC author showcase, featuring S.L. DICKSON:

S.L. DICKSON writes romantic suspense, mystery and contemporary romance. She focuses her stories in small towns and rural settings, although some of her characters are city dwellers. She is passionate about her writing with the support of her husband, Bill, family members, beloved friends, and all her writer friends from CaRWA and ARWA.

To relax after finishing a story, and needing a few days to think of another one, Shaa will often set up her acrylic paints and paint on smooth river rocks, old plates and flat paint stir sticks. A fun hobby she shares with her family.

Shaa and Bill have lived in Manitoba, Alberta and now reside in northwestern Ontario with their sheltie mix dog, Lacey. Throughout the years, Shaa has worked in a variety of careers, with addictions being her main focus. Shaa decided to decrease her work hours, so she could pursue her dream of being a fulltime writer.

Bill and Shaa enjoy outdoor activities including canoeing, swimming, hiking in the forest, sitting on a dock listening to the call of the loons, and watching bald eagles soar in a blue sky. A bonus when their grandchildren can join them between their studies and busy schedules. A favorite family time, is gathering around a camp fire, roasting marshmallows, whether it be summer or winter.
