Do you know C.R. Moss? I was lucky enough to connect with this talented author when she had a release out under a different name (she’s a versatile girl) (it occurs to me I shouldn’t out her to you, right?) –and I’m so pleased to host this interview–and this filthy excerpt–for you from her “Keep You Safe” story in the Down and Dirty anthology.
Now, I know you people–you’re going to scroll right down looking for the dirty parts. Chill. Let’s engage in some foreplay, kittens, and get to know the author a little first, okay?
An interview with C.R. Moss – Keep You Safe in Down and Dirty anthology
What genre do you write and why?
As C.R. Moss, I like to dabble in a bunch of different sub-genres under the erotic romance umbrella, though I tend to lean more toward contemporary, time travel, western and chick-lit. Being able to take from different sub-genres allows me to go in the direction the story calls for.
What made you become a writer and how did you get your start?
For a very brief period of time, I had ideas of becoming a teacher or an astronaut. Both occurred before the age of ten. But for the most part, I knew I wanted to write at a young age, as early as I learned to read. I was always cooking up stories to entertain myself in the rural area I lived in. Had to since there were no other kids around to play with. My defining moment came when I received an A in English in grade school. I was just shy of being a teenager when I had my ‘calling.’ Ever since then, most of my choices in life have revolved around my goal of becoming a full-time fiction writer and being published.
Upon my ‘calling’ I wrote a story for a magazine. It’d been rejected, but that was my start. After that, I began studying the craft of writing. It started with working on the school newspaper in middle school to creative writing classes and Teens Art Festivals in high school. I received a BA in Communications, Information and Library Studies from Rutgers College with a strong concentration in English Lit/Writing and Interpersonal Communications/PR. Studying under the mentorship of Terri Valentine (author of ‘Sands of Time,’ a Zebra Historical Romance), I honed my novel writing skills. In the mid to late 2000s, I finally put my foot down, got over my nerves and took the plunge into submitting stories to publishers. I’ve been published since 2008.
What have you found to be the most challenging when it comes to writing?
In writing erotic romance – sometimes the sex scenes. The mechanics are okay, but it’s getting the right emotions and sensual aspects across at the right moments to sync with the characters and the mood of the story.
In publishing – sometimes all the promotion an author has to do.
A Few fun questions…
Does size matter?
IMO, yes. Too small (“Are you even there?”) or too big (“You’re splitting me in two!”) wouldn’t be fun at all and would detract from the experience.
Flowers or Chocolate?
Chocolate. Unless the flowers are fake. I don’t mind fake flowers because they last longer, and I don’t feel are a waste of money regardless of the sentiment behind them.
E-book or paperback?
Depends upon the story, the author and my mood. I enjoy collecting both. 🙂
Beer, Wine, or Liquor?
Beer is my first choice. Then I have this expensive bottle of tequila which is awesome as is the chocolate/coffee tequila we have. If neither are available, then I’ll drink wine.
What are three things readers might be surprised to know about you?
I used to be a baton twirler. Won medals, too.
I used to play soccer.
I crewed for a balloon pilot once upon a time.
Ok. Now we can get titillated…
Keep You Safe by CR Moss in the Down and Dirty anthology
ADULT Excerpt–that’s 18+–there’s SEX in it
“You going to join me or not?” I asked, giving Kian a flirty wink. The angel on my shoulder whispered how my grandmother would be worrying her rosary beads if she knew what I was doing. The vixen on my other shoulder told the goody two-shoes that abuela wasn’t here and wouldn’t know.
Kian made short work of removing his briefs and joining me in the shower. He pressed me up against the wall, and once again claimed my mouth. His kiss, full of passion, also demanded submission. My body turned into a live wire from the feel of his hot, slick skin rubbing along mine. My knees weakened.
He broke the kiss and put his lips near my ear. “I want you, Arianna, body, mind, soul. No matter what happens, I want you to know you’ve always been my priority. You’ve always been a part of my heart.”
Despite the warm water washing over us, the wisp of his heated breath sent shivers down the side of my body. “I want you, too, Kian.”
Kian nipped at my earlobe, kissed my neck below my ear, then did the same on the other side. He trailed the tips of his fingers across the top of my chest to my breasts. I gazed down at the hands working my mounds, and when he pinched the nipples, I sucked in a deep breath to keep from melting under his touch.
I closed my eyes. He stretched around me. A bottle clicked open. The pleasant scent of milk and honey filled the small area. Moments later, he soaped my torso, down to my butt cheeks. His strong fingers ran the lather along my legs, then my arms. Every line and curve of my body that he bathed smoldered with lust for him. Heady with desire, I opened my eyes and watched him cleanse himself all over, including his cock, which was as magnificent as I’d imagined it to be.
“Would you like me to help you with that?” I asked, keeping my gaze trained on his shaft and hoping he’d understand my meaning.
“Normally, I’d be happy for some hand and mouth play and say yes, but I’m already hard and ready for you.” Kian pulled down the handheld showerhead. He ran the water over me, then himself. “Spread your legs.”
Doing what he requested created a little ball of need in my pussy, which was rewarded when he turned the stream toward the area. A moan of pleasure escaped my mouth. He chuckled then returned the shower head to its holder. When he turned back, he slipped his hand between my legs, fingered my slit, then slid his fingers into me.
“You’re wet and ready for me, too,” he said.
My whole being sank into blissful relaxation from his fondling. He massaged a breast, caressed my nether lips.
“I want to sink my cock into your moist heat. I want to be with you, Ari, never let you go.” Kian released my breast and slid his hand in tantalizing slowness along my abdomen to my hip while he removed his other hand from between my legs. He shifted, and in one easy movement, he braced me against the wall, with my legs wrapped around him, and had the head of his penis at my opening.
“I’m yours, Kian. Take me.”
