The weekend of August 13-15, 2016, I attended the When Words Collide conference in Calgary—the 2017 dates are August 11-13, do mark your calendars—and I’m so energized and excited and full of plans, I’m terrified. You know the feeling?

When I’m terrified, I make lists.
- Lists of people to follow up with.
- Lists of books to read.
- Lists of websites to mine.
- Lists of bookstores.
- Lists of conferences.
- Lists of lists…
Last week, I was digesting the conference. I’m a slow processor–it takes me a long time to reflect on, ponder things, figure out how the NEW I’ve learned fits into–or challenges–my existing frameworks and assumptions.
This week, I will be making MANY lists.
And developing my five-year career plan. 🙂 Because I’m a marathoner, not a sprinter.
