Goodreads for Authors

I am going through all sorts of Squee! moments right now, and an absolute high was when one of my people said, “OK, now go create an author profile on Goodreads,” and I sighed, and moaned, and said, “God, another thing I have to do?” but I did it anyway (I’m just whiny half the time), and I went to Good Reads, and guess what?

Tell Me by M. Jane Colette was already up, and M. Jane Colette was identified as a Goodreads Author and I… Squee. +, cliché juicy metaphors involving liquid and skanky underclothing. Thank you, Harper Collins. (They did it all for me. Squee.)

So all I had to do was “own” my Author profile and experiment with the Goodreads Author program, and I’m very grateful to Joanna Penn of The Creative Penn for this:

The Ultimate Goodreads Guide For Authors

and to Penny C. Sansevieri, for

Harnessing the Power Of Goodreads

Of course, as with all advice, for it to be effective one needs to actually… you know, heed it and implement it, and do stuff…

…and I might…

But for now… Squee. I’m a Goodreads Author: M Jane Colette
